Keep in Touch

Hmm…

I was going to write another post tonight, but I’ve been inundated with correspondence from people all over the country, and I’ve spent the night sorting through it, reading, replying, etc. I just launched the site a couple days ago, and I wasn’t prepared for this volume of response.  You know what’s cool about it, though? I’ve already been in touch with a couple of people whose stories are worth telling on this site, so I’ll put them in the queue, and hopefully get to them soon.

Another interesting thing I learned is that there are a good number of people on Twitter who will simply put their status as “How can I help you?” or “What can I do for you today?” Turns out they really mean it, too. I’ve gotten into a few good conversations with people like this, and it inspired me to do the same thing. Go ahead, try the search and see what you find.

The only post that’s up so far has been about a child with a medical condition, and the two post-worthy stories I’ve gathered so far have been about . . . wait for it . . . children with medical conditions. I think my next post may be about a guy who is a champion for improvements in our education system. I wonder if my contacts after that one will be submitting stories about that topic. I guess it remains to be seen.

Almost 1:00 AM and I’ve had all of 17 minutes to relax today. That is not an exaggeration. I’m going to bed – I’ll put up another “real” post this weekend.
