Yeah yea -I remember now. I have no doubt this person is nice / caring to a lot of people - but I was outright shocked at how they treated me personally.

It's just kind of symptomatic of the whole social media scene / which has a lot of personal brand building and self-promotion tied into it. Including me. It's part of life. There are some people who seem nice on the surface - but they're really just all about getting ahead at all costs - no matter what or who they step on to get there. I've encountered this in one or two local people here in Colorado. People who don't know them well they they're charming or swell, but a lot of people who have worked for or with them have starkly different opinions. This is not pointed at anyone in particular, just observing some of the quirks and foibles in social media culture in general.

Anyways - great list and super picks for people who strike me very much as you describe them!

Thanks, @BrettBorders - and hey guys, check it out - speaking of "walk the walk," what Brett's doing here is living by his 2nd tip of "creating 'sticky' social relationships": http://socialmediarockstar.com/5-tips-for-creat...

Oh, and Brett - "...*almost* all of your choices..." I bet I know which one you're referring too - that's how I originally heard about YOU, by the way - through an argument. So it all worked out for good. :)

This is a great list and I agree with almost all of your choices. Social media is about being social, and these people walk the walk.

It really is nice when all the little things in life add up and you can see the change that can be made when they do... Look at a sand dune a single grain of sand seems infinitesimal but when the wind puts them together they make huge dunes and deserts. I think what you doing with the #ateam is great, ever since I lost my mom and step-dad, I always take time to appreciate and share the little things. even if its just a smile at someone instead of a look away :) keep doing your thing!

-Jason
