ItStartsWith.Us is going to succeed based on the strength of the community it builds. In order for the site to continue its development into a true social networking platform, it needs to reach a critical mass. Assuming you’re on this page because you like what I’m doing and want to see it succeed, here’s how you can help.
Links, Links, Links
The lifeblood of any website lies in the incoming links. If you have a blog or a website, I ask that you write a post, add me to your blogroll, mention ItStartsWith.Us from a directory, or otherwise link to this site. The more reputable links I get, the higher this site will be ranked on search engines, and the more people will see it.
Word of Mouth
I’m not going to set up a marketing campaign for this site – I’m going to rely on word of mouth to spread the message. If you come across an article you like, please email it to your friends, share it on Facebook, or submit it to Digg, StumbleUpon, or any of the other social networks. I’ve placed little buttons at the bottom of every article to help you do this quickly and easily.
Stay Connected
This goes hand in hand with the message above. Subscribing to my RSS feed and following me on Twitter are free and easy, enabling you to automatically get updates when new articles go up. You’ll see these “stay connected” links at the bottom of every post as well. When you come across a good article from one of these updates, please take a few seconds to forward the email or re-tweet the message.
Thanks for taking the time to help out. Not only will you be passing along positive stories, you’ll also be helping grow this site, so it can touch more lives and inspire more people.
Nate
